Kent Metal Products’ specialty is Sheet Metal Forming, a process that transforms a thin sheet of steel by cutting, bending and rolling it into a 3 dimensional shape.
You’ll see sheet metal products used everywhere : filing cabinets, auto bodies, aluminum siding, appliances.
At Kent, we generally work with business and industry to supply their product manufacturing needs. In doing so, we’ve built hundreds of different items from sheet metal incuding:
In this photo, Raju (with Kent for 30+ years!) uses a brake press to form steel angles that will be welded into frames. The longest piece we can bend is 10′.
Sheet metal is available in a variety of thicknesses (called the gauge), and finishes from rust-inhibiting to the highly cosmetic. Base materials include many types of steel, aluminum and copper. Kent keeps a robust inventory of materials and finishes for quick delivery.
Look around … products that are made to last, are made of metal. And it’s no wonder: Metal is strong, attractive, and malleable into most any form.

Your products are only as strong as the welds that hold them together. That’s why Kent Metal Products maintains Canadian Welding Bureau Certification.
A rigorous program that tests the skill of our welders and shop process, CWB Certification is your guarantee of manufacturing quality.
The other guarantee comes from the skilled tradesmen that do the work. Some members of our Welding Team have been with Kent for over 30 years, and in that time have produced tens of thousands of products used daily in construction, manufacturing and consumer products.
Among the products we have welded :
One of the most versatile tools in the Kent Metal Products factory is our amazing 2kw CO2 laser.
Able to cut 4′ x 8′ sheets up to 1/2″ thick, laser cutting is able to cut complex shapes with exacting precision.
Faster than traditional machining, and more accurate than water-jet cutting, Kent’s laser can cut :
Our laser (in fact all modern machining equipment) employ digital controllers that require the part first be drawn as a .DXF file using software like AutoCad or MasterCam. We then take those files and layer-on information such as the cutting speed and tool path. Once that .DXF file is created, parts can be reproduced in any quantity. And because these digital files don’t change, you can be sure that your re-orders will be identical.
If creating the .DXF file is an issue for you, Kent is glad to assist via our drawing and setup services.
